  • What in-home nursing services do you offer?
    We offer a wide range of services to adults and seniors, all provided in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Medication Management: We assist with organizing, administering, and managing medications to ensure safety and proper adherence. Post-Surgical Care: Comprehensive recovery support, including wound care, mobility assistance, and health monitoring. Disease Management: Ongoing care for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, Alzheimer's, and arthritis, with a focus on improving quality of life. Wellness Monitoring: Regular health assessments, including vital checks and preventive care, to keep you on track with your health goals. Hospice and End-of-Life Care: Compassionate care for individuals and families during life’s most challenging moments, focusing on comfort, dignity, and emotional support. Respite Care: Short-term relief for primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest, travel, or enjoy time with other loved ones to reduce burnout and ensure they can continue providing care effectively. Elder Care: Personalized assistance with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, to help seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. We also conduct a thorough home safety assessment to identify and address potential fall risks, ensuring your living environment is safe and secure. Catheter Management: Support for individuals requiring catheter care and management. Central Line Care: Expert care for central venous catheters, including dressing changes, line flushing, infection prevention, and patient education to ensure proper use and maintenance. Diabetes Education: Guidance on managing diabetes, including diet, medication, and lifestyle changes. Wound Care: Expert care for healing wounds, ensuring proper treatment and infection prevention. Duration: Minimum of 2 hours required, billed hourly. Deposit: A $50 deposit is required to schedule your in-person visit. This deposit will be applied to your total visit fee once the appointment is completed. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of your $50 deposit.
  • Tell me more about virtual nurse visits.
    Once the initial in-home visit is completed to establish a baseline of care, virtual visits become available for the following: - Follow-up care - Wellness checks - Emotional support - Assessments & monitoring - Consultations - Patient/caregiver education & training These remote appointments are conducted via video call or telehealth and are designed to provide convenient, high-quality care from the comfort of your home or wherever you are. Duration: Each virtual appointment is a minimum of 30 minutes and is billed in 30-minute increments. Deposit: A $25 deposit is required to schedule your virtual visit. This deposit will be applied to your total visit fee once the appointment is completed. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of your $25 deposit.
  • Does C U Heart Nursing Care require a doctor's order?
    A doctor’s order is required for any treatment performed by a nurse. However, nursing assessments do not require a doctor’s order.
  • What is a heart-centered approach to nursing care?

  • What is the C U Heart Nurse Advocacy service?
    A designated nurse advocate will serve as your dedicated healthcare partner, guiding you through your healthcare journey. This add-on service, available for an additional fee, ensures seamless coordination of your healthcare needs. Your dedicated nurse advocate will: Coordinate Your Care: Act as the liaison between your doctor’s office, specialists, and other healthcare providers, scheduling appointments, managing referrals or follow up care to ensure everyone on your healthcare team is aligned. Navigate the Healthcare System: Assist patients in accessing resources, and scheduling appointments or tests. Monitor Care Quality: Oversee the delivery of care to ensure it meets established standards and addresses the patient’s needs. Attend Appointments Virtually: Where possible, your nurse advocate can virtually attend your doctor’s appointments, asking critical questions you may not think of and translating complex medical jargon into clear, actionable insights. Patient Education: Explain medical conditions, treatments, and procedures in clear, understandable terms to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care. Promote Preventive Care: Encourage and guide patients in adopting healthy habits and preventive measures to improve long-term health outcomes. Handle Paperwork: From insurance forms to medical records, we’ll take care of the administrative burden so you can focus on resting, relaxing, and healing. Ensure Patient Rights: Protect patients' rights to privacy, informed consent, and respectful care, addressing any concerns or violations. Discretion & Mediation: In challenging moments, your nurse advocate will offer mediation to ease family conflicts, ensuring everyone understands and respects your healthcare choices. Emotional Support: Provide compassion and reassurance to patients and families during challenging medical situations. Your nurse advocate acts solely in your best interest, offering compassionate support and professional expertise to ensure you receive the care and attention you deserve.
  • Do you offer services in my area?
    We are currently serving the following areas: Beachwood Canyon Beverly Hills Burbank Glendale Hancock Park Hollywood Hills Hollywood Hills West Larchmont Los Feliz Silver Lake Studio City Toluca Lake Please note: An additional fee applies for in-person services requested outside of these areas. We will be adding more locations soon, so please check back with us!
  • How much will a private nurse cost me?
    C U Heart Nursing Care is a private-pay service offering top-quality nursing care. The cost depends on the type of care you need and the number of hours required. In-Person Visits: Minimum of 2 hours, billed hourly. Virtual Visits: Minimum of 30 minutes, billed by the half-hour. A $25 deposit is required to hold your appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled time, the deposit will be forfeited. Please contact us to discuss our rates and find the right care for you!
  • Is there a minimum appointment time?
    In-Person Visits: Minimum of 2 hours required, billed hourly. Virtual Visits: Minimum of 30 minutes required, billed per 30 minutes.
  • Will my information be kept private?
    Absolutely! All care and consultations are strictly confidential. C U Heart nurses are fully trained in HIPAA compliance to protect your privacy. Upon request, we can sign non-disclosure agreements for a fee, which covers a legal review of the document prior to signing.
  • Does C U Heart Nursing Care employ other health professionals to make regular visits to the client’s home?
    At this time, we exclusively employ licensed nurses. However, our nurse advocacy service can assist in coordinating visits from other healthcare professionals, such as social workers, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and more.
  • How do you handle emergencies after normal business hours?
    Our Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Important: In case of a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately. If you are unsure whether your situation is an emergency, it’s always best to err on the side of caution and contact 911.
  • Do your nurses undergo background checks?
    Yes. C U Heart's nurses must pass both local and national criminal background checks, as well as a sex offender registry check. Additionally, their nursing licenses are validated through current state records to ensure compliance and professionalism.
